I’ve used a photograph of the cobblestones in Maastricht’s Market square for Crossroads’ new header. Maastricht’s cobblestones have a very specific and recognisable shape and pattern.

In order to give more exposure to our feature stories on the homepage , I will now post all news items into one single “News” category.
The various news stories will still be separately categorised under “Maastricht area news”, “Dutch national news” or “European news” in the sidebar.

I have now increased the number of Dutch national news headlines on the home page to 8.
Many of these news items deal with developments in higher education, but I find many stories related to social and cultural aspects of life in the Netherlands also very interesting.
