New website: Castles of the Meuse valley

The provinces of Liège, Namur, Belgian Limburg and Dutch Limburg have decided to cooperate in a joint effort to better promote the castles located in the valley of the river Meuse.

The site appeals to history- and heritage enthusiasts, and to all who are visiting the « Euregio » for one or several days. More than 80 castles belonging to the four provinces are scattered about this area; most of them are partially open to the public, all are located within a distance covering 25 km or less from the river Meuse, as the crow flies.

Each castle is presented by means of text, photographs and practical information. The site also offers a selection of restaurants and attractive accommodation available in the neighbourhood of the castles.

The website is available in English, French, German and Dutch.
