25 May: Lions Club Maastricht Mondial May Fair 2008
Announcement from Lions Club Maastricht Mondial:
In response to the results of our “customer satisfaction survey” for the 2007 May Fair, we have decided to do things a little differently this year and have put together a package to ensure plenty of action for the young and not-so-young, but also plenty of opportunities to “mix & mingle”.
The May Fair 2008 will take place on Sunday 25 May at SnowWorld Landgraaf, the world’s biggest indoor winter sports resort.
There’ll be:
- A ski spectacular to start the afternoon
- 2 hours of free ski or snow boarding instruction by professional ski instructors
- Special skiing and tobogganing program for the kids
- Alternatively 2 hours of Nordic Walking instruction outdoors
But for the less active, there’ll be a somewhat more sedate outdoor program:
- Bring & buy English book stall
- Bring & buy children’s book and toy stall
- Bring & buy bric à brac stall
- The traditional May Fair auction
And there’ll be a bar and outdoor area if you prefer to just mix & mingle with other members of the international community in the region.
There’ll also be childcare available with a full program for the youngest amongst us.
For those who prefer not to cook that evening you can book for après ski in the form of a barbecue starting immediately after the auction.
