ComProsers, an online forum for writers and musicians, will present the results of its inaugural congwriting contest on Sunday, May 18 at AINSI, one of Maastricht’s newest major cultural centres.

The project is headed by Maastricht University masters student Amrit Dhir and is aimed at “encouraging collaboration between aspiring writers and musicians”. Those interested can learn more about the website and the contest at www.ComProsers.com.

At Sunday’s event, Dhir will present the eleven finalists of the contest and announce the winner. It will be a relaxed and informal afternoon of great music, free coffee and tea, cheap drinks, and comfortable chairs. Doors open at 14:00, and the ComProsers presentation begins at 15:00. The event is free.

AINSI is located at Lage Kanaaldijk 112-113 and is the site of a former cement factory on the southwest side of the Maas. It has recently been converted by Fons Dejong and with the support of the city, into a cultural institute.
