Employee exchange in Rhine-Waal euregion
January 23, 2007
Employees and job-seekers from the Netherlands and Germany will soon be able to study and work in each other’s countries. The purpose of the exchanges is to improve employment opportunities.
Minister of Social Affairs and Employment Aart Jan de Geus, and his colleague Karl-Josef Laumann from the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia have signed an agreement to this effect.
To be eligible, the people concerned must work or seek work in the construction or social services sector, and live in the Rhine-Waal Euregion.
The purpose of the exchanges is to improve employment opportunities, and to ensure a closer match between supply and demand on the Euregion employment market.
