The Netherlands has a new national newspaper. The free newspaper The Press, with a print-run of 250,000, will be distributed at train stations and busy parts of the country’s four main cities. The publisher, Cornelius van den Berg, says the paper will eventually expand to a print run of 800,000 and will be distributed to offices shopping centres and petrol stations.
The Press is the Netherlands’ third free national paper. The publisher says he is aiming to produce a quality newspaper.
