8-9 Sept: Scottish weekend at Landcommandery Alden Biesen, Belgian Limburg

On FRIDAY EVENING, we start with an unique concert in the CELTIC CLUB (Rijschool - Castle Alden Biesen). DOUGIE MACLEAN (sco) and SALTFISHFORTY (sco) will be our guests.
Adhering to tradition, the Pipe Band Championship, the Highland Dance Competition and our CELTIC NIGHT will take place Saturday 8th September. On Sunday 9th September the program includes the Solo Piping and Drumming Competition and the Highland Games.
Throughout the Scottish Weekend, enjoy our Scottish Market, keep the kids occupied in the Children’s Corner and there’ll be Sheep Herding and Folk Appearances too. For the traditionalists, there’ll be Whisky tasting, and for the more sophisticated, you’ll find a Champagne & Oyster bar.
There will be food to cater for all throughout the event. So come along and join us in the courts of the beautiful castle of Alden Biesen. For a Scottish Weekend on the European Continent, be at Alden Biesen !
