“Key moments in Shakespeare” by John Gilroy
With this intriguing title, Mr Gilroy shall bring Shakespeare and his works to life for the Limburg branch of the ‘Netherlands-England Society/ Genootschap Nederland-Engeland’.

Date : Monday, 7 May 2007.
Venue: Grand Hotel l’Empereur, Stationstr. 2, Maastricht (opp. the railway station
Time : 8 till approx. 10 p.m. (with a break)
Entrance fee: € 5 for non-members and € 3.50 for students.
About the speaker
John Gilroy is Senior Lecturer in English at APU, Cambridge. He has been Course Director for the University of Cambridge Shakespeare Summer School, and has lectured widely in Britain and abroad for ‘Inscape’ and the English-Speaking Union. He has particular interests in the Romantic period, Nineteenth-Century American fiction and the literature of Travel. He has published on Wordsworth and on various topics in Romanticism and has talked for GNE on two previous occasions. He is currently writing books on early aeronautics and on the poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins.
