For ten years, ‘de Nederlandse Dansdagen’ has offered the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent sampling of Dutch dance theatre in a festival atmosphere. It provides the perfect setting to become acquainted with the current developments in the Dutch dance field. A selection committee chose their favourite performances from the vast range of new dance works from the 2006 – 2007 season. During ‘de Nederlandse Dansdagen’ their selection will be presented in a variety of theatres and on more unexpected locations in Maastricht.

The festival will feature performances from important dance companies in The Netherlands, such as Emio Greco PC, Ann Van de Broek (Korzo Productions), Leine & Roebana, Dansgroep Krisztina de Châtel and anoukvandijk dc.
For the festival’s anniversary, we conceived the ‘Cover’-project, in which contemporary choreographers look back on Holland’s rich dance history. They will recreate pieces by Hans van Manen, Jiri Kylián, Rudy van Dantzig and Ton Lutgerink / Amy Gale.
Furthermore, there will be plenty of opportunity for meetings, encounters and discussions about Dutch dance in a national and international context.
