30 May: UNU-MERIT/MUNDO Borrel (drink)
Dear Maastricht Colleagues and Friends,
Following several successful events to promote informal networking amongst Maastricht-based international institutes and individuals that are active in the broad area of globalization and development, we have the pleasure of inviting you to the UNU-MERIT/MUNDO-BORREL’ (drink) at 4.30 pm on Wednesday 30th May 2007.
The host - UNU-MERIT - is a joint research and training centre of United Nations University and Maastricht University, focusing on the economic and social dimensions of innovation and technology. The Borrel will provide an opportunity for the wider Maastricht community to learn about developments at the Institute and to interact with its large multicultural research community.
The event will take place at De Groote Societëit Maastricht, Vrijthof 36. The entrance is across the road from the UNU-MERIT offices at Keizer Karelplein 19.
The MUNDO Borrels are an informal meeting space for people living in the Maastricht area that share an interest in globalization, development and capacity building. They are open to all interested individuals including: staff, teachers and researchers at Maastricht University and Maastricht-based international institutes; civil servants; international and Dutch students; development workers; staff of non-governmental organizations and development foundations; and members of the public.
The next Borrel will also provide an opportunity to interact informally with participants at the International Conference on “Micro Evidence on Innovation in Developing Economies” organized by UNU-MERIT.
Please feel free to pass this invitation on to colleagues and friends who may be interested.
In order to help us plan for the event, kindly send an email to info@merit.unu.edu, if you will be joining us.
Hope to see you then.
