Energy, Politics and Power: First event in the 2007/8 series of Maastricht Debates
On November 14, 7.30 pm a public debate will take place on the interrelated issues of energy and international power relations. The debate will be with Michael Klare, author of a.o. Blood and Oil, Professor of Peace and Security Studies at the Hampshire College (USA). Michael Klare is in the Netherlands on invitation of the Society of International Development. The moderation is in the professional hands of Stafford Wadsworth, Editor & Publisher of the Meuse-Rhine Journal.
Venue: the Auditorium Maastricht University, Minderbroedersberg, Maastricht.
Free admittance.
On December 11, the next Maastricht Debate will be with Reinaldo Figueredo, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Director UNCTAD - UNDP Global Programme on Globalization, Liberalization and Sustainable Human Development.
