Work starts on super-fast Amsterdam internet

Construction of a glass fibre network started in Amsterdam on Thursday in a project that will connect 40,000 households in Zeeburg, Osdorp and Amsterdam Oost.

[...]The city council wants to construct the internet connection to enable it to compete with other world cities such as Paris, Cologne and Milan, which already have similar networks.
