Kosovan schoolgirl deported from the Netherlands
A Kosovan schoolgirl refused permission to remain in the Netherlands left this morning on a flight to the Bosnian capital Sarajevo. Taïda Pasic, who is 19, said farewell to her high school friends in Winterswijk last week.
She had wanted to remain in the country a few more months so that she could take her high school graduation exams.
However, Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk refused to allow Ms Pasic to remain in the Netherlands, and when she lost her appeal, Ms Verdonk ordered her to leave the country by the end of the week.
Ms Pasic will be permitted to take her exams at the Dutch embassy in Sarajevo.
